An Australian study has revealed recently by researchers at Flanders University, that drinking just three cups of tea a day strengthens bones and protects against fractures, including hip breaking by up to 30%.

The study involved about a thousand and 200 elderly woman for ten years, were questioned about their diet, which they are following, especially in regard to tea quantities that they consume, and during this period, 288 women were suffered from broken bones, including 129 cases of the femur breaks, according to “Daily Mail”.

The study found that women who drank three cups of tea a day at least  have little chance of getting HIV breaking by 30% compared with those who consumed the least amounts or did not drink tea at all.

The researchers believe that the “flavonoids” compounds found in tea strengthens bones by accelerating the construction of new bone cells and slow down at the same time the erosion of existing cells.

It should be noted that more than 200 million people around the world suffer from osteoporosis, and in the United States and Europe, 30% of women suffer of the post-menopausal disease, among them at least 40% susceptible to broken bones in their lives as a result , while the older men suffered of 30 % percent breaks.
