5/2 Diet distinguishes that it is valid for everyday life, in the sense that it does not impede the work or study, as it does not cause depression for those who adhered to it contrary from some other, more stringent diets.
Diet (5/2) is from the most comfortable diets, based on eating whatever you want during the five days a week without restrictions versus fasting for two days. This diet aims to reduce the feeling of depression associated with reducing food.

«Fox German» magazine reported that the nutrition doctor , Michelle Harvey, Tony Howell, on theirs diet, which called (5/2), adopted to avoid problems in the other diets, which results are counterproductive with many, as the strict adherence of meals makes some people leave the whole matter after a while.

The 5/2 diet is depending that a person eats whatever he wants without calorie food account, and without giving up certain foods, such as rice, bread and dessert for five days a week in exchange for fasting during the other two days and eat very small amounts of food, not to skip a certain level of calories.

The magazine quoted an expert nutrition, Elizabeth Lange, as saying that some types of traditional diets, make the body after about two weeks in the case is similar to the case of hunger, so the brain is making a what looks like the emergency room to deal with this acute change and begins to store energy and therefore this affects organically and psychologically upon the followers of the diets.
