Many pregnant women are taking paracetamol as a treatment during pregnancy. But this treatment increases the risk of behavioral disorders in children, according to results of the latest study.

During pregnancy, pregnant women should refrain from taking paracetamol. It has proved so far that it’s one factors leads to autism and greater cognitive problems in children , it causes infertility in females, as it causes behavioral disorders; and, according to the results of a study published in The Journal of American Medical Association- Pediatrics.

Researchers from the University of Bristol in the UK made a study included 7,800 pregnant woman. The women were followed up and interviewed after seven years to take data from them about the behavior of their children. The researchers found that compared with women who did not take paracetamol during pregnancy, women faced, in the first group, behavioral problems in their children.

Results of the study demonstrated that children of pregnant women , who has healing of paracetamol , increased their incidence of behavioral disorders by about 42 percent risk. And it increased by 31 per cent risk exposure to excessive activity, while increased by 29 percent risk of emotional disorders among those.
In response to this study, D. Max Azntzer, Specialist Medicine neurologist children at Rainbow for Motherhood and Childhood Hospital in the United States, confirmed that “the study provides valuable information, but it is too early to conclude that this drug causes behavioral disorders. Maybe those women , in the study, did not mentioned to researchers all types of infections that have sustained, or maybe there were other problems that could explain the relationship between taking the drug and behavioral disorders. “
